Hey ya’ll,
My name is Naomi Washington and I’m a published author, speaker, and coach. I am uniquely equipped with the superpower to help people answer their own hard questions when I ask them the right ones.
I have over 15 years of experience as a child welfare professional with experience from the frontline to management in the offices of state and non-profit organizations. After so many years saving the world one case or data point at a time, I wanted off that hamster wheel, I decided to tap into my gifts and after about 7 years of blogging and just giving advice, I became a Certified Personal and Executive Coach. I am also a member of the International Coaching Federation.
I’m excited to be launching this podcast, Forever Striving with Naomi. Every episode invites you into my safe space. The place where I put on fuzzy socks from Walgreens and give my timelines the side-eye. This is now your safe place too. Because I am always striving and that rundown of a resume was the clean version.
I have enough experience in my own life as a mother, wife, and bestie who may or may not need bail money, to teach you how to do things better than I did. This is the place where I help you redefine self-care because let’s face it, we give so much to others that we don’t have anything left for ourselves…and I’m exhausted sis, how bout you?
I plan on giving you the secrets to creating guilt-free boundaries with the people who get on your last nerve but you still love them and how to say yes to yourself because you deserve it no matter how it makes others feel.
And because I have some dope friends, they may drop in and give you some of the tea on how they are forever striving themselves in their lane as well. I don’t believe in growing alone.
If there is anything I've learned from the whole pandemic of 2020 and shenanigans of 2021 it’s how to go set down somewhere and figure some stuff out. So here we are. Chatting it up every week while we strive to give ourselves the best of what we have instead of what we have left from giving it to the world.
Forever Striving,
Naomi
