EP 160 with Rob Jung of Rob Jung's Metalart in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, Canada
This week's episode brings to you a man becoming. very well known in the metal art world best known for his work The Weeping Willow. Rob Jung, that's pronounced young if you don't know, has been working with metal for a long time. He has a lineage of metalworking in his family as you will find out in this episode. Rob is now running his shop out of an old auto body shop. He isn't the first guest we've had on the show that has done this and it sounds like it works out really well. The shop space not only has lots of space, but there is also the reception area that he now has set up as the gallery for his work. Rob has recently become very well known for his metal flowers which we dive into a bit and he gives away a little secret on how he forms his work.
Big thank you to Rob for coming on the show! He is a very busy guy, but I highly recommend you give him a shout and stop by his shop to see his gallery.

EP 158
In this episode of Forge Side Chat, Justin Lamoureux of Rainy Day Forge sits down with Steve Cornelson of Bad Llama Forge for a shop-to-shop catch-up. The two makers dive into the projects currently taking shape in their workshops — from Steve’s stunning mokume-gane wedding bands to Justin’s canister billet experiments. They swap stories about stainless steel mishaps, share some behind-the-scenes chatter about the Toronto Knife Show and CanIRON, and get into plenty of blacksmithing, knifemaking, and all-around shop talk. If you like hearing what’s happening at the anvil (and what sometimes goes wrong), this one’s for you.
EP 155 with Austen Evans of Lotus Forge in Calgary Alberta.
Today's episode brings you a conversation with Austen Evans and myself, Lando Novak.
We chat about Austen's beginning in blacksmithing and the struggles he has endured during some of that time. I was lucky enough to meet Austen in person at Thistle Rock Forge this spring where we had the chance to get to know each other a bit. Austen does some really nice work from axes and hammers to flowers as well. Taking a few courses now at Thistle Rock Forge as well as with a few other well noted blacksmiths in his area has given him an upper hand in understanding good blacksmithing. Check out his story here and find out whats what in this guy's game.
