Reflect, today, on the sign God has already given you. If you find yourself waiting for some undeniable proof of His presence, look no further than the crucifix. In Jesus' suffering and death, you will see the greatest act of love ever known. Follow Him by dying to sin, entering the tomb with Him, and allowing Him to bring you into new life this Lent. 

Reflect, today, on the ‘Our Father’,  and its profound meaning. Familiarity can sometimes make us recite it without thought, reducing it to empty words. But Jesus calls us to pray with sincerity, truly meaning each phrase. Saint Ignatius of Loyola suggests meditating on each word slowly, allowing its meaning to sink in. Try this approach today, and let this prayer become a true and heartfelt conversation with God. 

Reflect, today, on the people in your life who seem most forgotten, most in need of compassion. Often, those we overlook, judge, or avoid are the ones Christ calls us to love the most. Think of someone who may seem undeserving of your kindness, and remember that in serving them, you are serving Jesus Himself. 

Reflect, today, on the struggles in your own life. If you’ve been stuck in a defensive battle against temptation, it may be time for a new approach. This Lent, take an offensive stance by embracing the virtues that directly counter your weaknesses. If anger is your struggle, choose kindness. If gluttony tempts you, commit to fasting. If greed is an issue, practice generosity. By actively pursuing virtue, you will be strengthened against temptation and better prepared to reject the lies of the evil one. 

Reflect today on Levi’s response to Jesus. If Christ were to walk past you and say, “Follow me,” what would you need to leave behind? Are you willing to say “Yes” without conditions? Imitate Levi’s courage, and trust that what Jesus offers is always far greater than what you leave behind.

Reflect today on how fasting and self-denial can help you grow spiritually. What are the desires or habits that keep you from focusing entirely on God? By embracing sacrifice, we make room for the Holy Spirit to lead us.

In our own lives, it’s easy to mistake selfish desires for love. But real love requires sacrifice. Reflect today on Jesus’ determination to suffer and die for us. His love never wavered. Can we learn to love with the same selflessness? 

Take time today to reflect on your greatest spiritual struggle. What keeps you from God? Which temptation do you need to confront this Lent? Identify it, embrace its cure, and trust that “your Father who sees in secret will repay you.” 

Take a moment today to reflect: Can you say with Peter, “Lord, I have given up everything to follow You”? Are there things you still hold back, afraid to fully surrender to Christ? Ask yourself what areas of your life need deeper trust and sacrifice. Let Jesus’ promise encourage you, when you give everything to Him, He gives back more than you could ever dream. 

Reflect today on the praise you offer and receive. Are you influenced by misguided praise? Do you compliment others in a way that aligns with God's truth? Strive to let your words and your heart be guided by God’s wisdom, seeking only the praise that comes from Him.
