"The Year was 1976"...the crew lead by Ali aka "The Professor" take a look back at some of the songs released in 1976 the "The Bicentennial Year". While the year had significance to the country the music released that year was phenomenal. We talk about a new development in music, the rise of AI produced music. It's Dawn's turn and the subject is the venerable and beloved Luther Vandross (April 20,1951-July 1, 2005). We show our love for Luther through the songs and how they played a part in our early adulthood. The crew is back and Ali has the team focused on the life and work of one of R&B's greatest creators. Rod Temperton (Oct 9, 1949-Sept 25, 2016) was an English songwriter, producer, and musician. We know Quincy, Michael Jackson, and Heatwave but who else was blessed to work with him? Dawn calls out the group Tavares for a poor showing during a live concert but the story gets interesting as she talks about her trip home. Ali talks about Andre 3000's new work, Ms. Bee gets the MVP award for recording while battling a sinus infection.
