Does any of this sound familiar?
"I don't want to undo all my hard work."
"I'll never get my body back."
"I know sex will never feel the same."
"I'm gonna have to buy stock in adult diapers cuz I'll need them."FACTS: your body losing strength and resilience after having a baby isn't because of the birthing event itself. It's because you were never taught HOW to use the structures that are used and injured during that birthing process. You know the term "use it or lose it?" Yeah, that's kind of where we are going with this.
Childbirth, no matter how you slice it, is a certain type of injury for which we are not physically prepared. Seriously. Have you ever been taught how to use your pelvic floor other than doing a bunch of kegels? Have you ever been taught how to relax it? How to use it with your deep abdominals, deep back muscles, and diaphragm? Have you ever been taught how to coordinate all of that with the rest of your body?
Today, we are talking all about why so many people are worried that having kids ruins their bodies...and let you all know that it doesn't have to be this way!
