Here i sit with Ruth Kisot who shares her life growing up with a strict but loving father and a so close friend, her mother ☺️. She explains how she believes God protected her and kept her from being swayed and tossed by the world in campus even as she got into her very first romantic relationship-which turned out to be toxic and heartbreaking. The heartbreak took a toll on her as she went into depression which terribly affected her studies. She was forced to repeat her Second Year twice and this is where she gets her wake up call and decided to pick herself up: forgive the guy, forgive herself and start fixing her life. She gives thanks to God, her mom and the friendships she had around her which helped her stand. She's now in a good place emotionally and physically 🤗 going for her teaching practice as she waits to graduate as a Biology/Chemistry teacher. In this episode i share some random thoughts and feelings of my friends towards being jealous in their relationships 😜. I also share my experience too and my thoughts about it. Jealous is a normal feeling in a relationship when you feel someone special to you is sharing something special (you should be sharing with them) with someone else. Derrick goes on to narrate how his stepdad got extremely jealous when he learnt that Derrick's father was slipping back into their life-he has even sponsored his mom with goods to start a business. The stepdad (Ed) makes arrangements for his son Suleiman (Derrick's younger brother) to go to Kwale then he sets the Mama Derrick's house on fire and he flees to Tanzania only to be seen and arrested after a year or so. Derrick struggles to adopt back to his old name : Derrick Ogambi( which was changed to Salim Mohamed 👳🏾‍♂️and instilled into him with several beatings 😫). He also struggles to accept his father back into his life because of the bitterness he's developed towards him over his abandonment. However 😜, something interesting happens later on as his heart softens towards forgiveness 🤗

Here I sit down with Derrick as he narrates how his parents relationship was on and off: from his father's infidelity cases to her mother getting arrested and jailed by his father for injuring one of his father's women. This leads them to relocate to a different town but his father's abandons them for Tanzanian woman. Derrick's mother brings in a Muslim man for a husband who turns to be a constant abuser to young Derrick: who is forced to change his name to Salim Mohamed and go to Madrasa for Quran lessons against his and his mother's will.
