  • Colossians 3.12-25 - God is no respecter of Persons
This sermon concludes a study of Colossians by examining the practical outworking of Christian election in daily life. The preacher emphasizes that believers, as God's chosen ones, must put on virtues such as mercy, kindness, and above all, charity, which serves as the bond of perfection. Key theological themes include the necessity of forgiveness modeled after Christ, the indwelling peace of God, and the authority of Scripture in governing thoughts and actions. The text also addresses specific relational duties within households, urging submission and love while explicitly condemning abuse. Ultimately, the message asserts that all conduct should be performed heartily for the Lord, reflecting the truth that God shows no partiality.

  • Consider Your Ways
Consider Your Ways The message begins with the helpless condition of mankind apart from Jesus. Just as the leper could not cleanse himself and Lazarus could not raise himself from the grave, sinners cannot cure the corruption of their own hearts. Religion can identify the problem, morality can attempt to cover it, and people can try to improve themselves, but only Jesus can cleanse the unclean, give life to the dead, forgive sin, and make a person new. Mankind's greatest problem is not merely social, political, economic, or educational—it is a heart problem that only Christ can remedy. That truth leads directly into Haggai's repeated command: "Consider your ways." Judah had returned from captivity with a clear assignment from God and the resources necessary to rebuild His temple. They began the work, but when opposition came, they stopped. Over time, the delay became a way of life. They continued building, but instead of building what God had assigned, they invested their time, strength, and resources into themselves. They allowed opposition to overrule God's assignment, and busyness replaced obedience to Him and His mission. God then used their circumstances to awaken them. They sowed much but harvested little, ate but were never satisfied, earned wages but seemed to put them into a bag full of holes. Haggai reveals that these frustrations were not meaningless accidents; God was graciously using them to get His people's attention. While not every hardship is the result of disobedience, believers should remain sensitive enough to ask, "Lord, is there something You are trying to show me?" One of the great truths of the message is that God's withholding can sometimes be

  • Steps to Freedom
The sermon outlines practical spiritual warfare strategies for achieving total freedom from demonic influence, emphasizing the necessity of renouncing occult practices and lies. It explores the subtle ways Satan communicates through thoughts, contrasting divine inspiration with demonic deception using biblical examples like Peter and Ananias. The speaker stresses that unforgiveness provides a legal ground for the enemy, illustrating this with the parable of the unmerciful servant to highlight the critical link between receiving God's forgiveness and extending it to others. By systematically addressing past involvement in spiritism and bitterness, believers can dismantle strongholds and restore their dignity as image-bearers of God. The message concludes that enduring freedom requires a deliberate, faith-based commitment to forgive those who have caused deep emotional wounds.

  • Legalism Attacks Gospel Hope
How do legalists respond to the gospel? Job 15 looks forward to the hearing of God's Word, publicly read, in the holy assembly on the coming Lord's Day. In these thirty-five verses of Holy Scripture, the Holy Spirit teaches us that we find that legalists respond to the gospel with accusations and arrogance. This devotional contrasts the gospel of grace with the self-righteousness of legalism by analyzing Eliphaz's rebuke of Job in Job 15. Eliphaz holds to a tradition of works-based righteousness that ridicules and accuses Job's gospel hope. While Eliphaz claims Job is unrepentant and condemned, whereas Job's hope is in God Who regenerates, gives faith, forgives, and makes clean. The message warns against adopting legalistic standards that demand better behavior to earn God's favor, which ultimately rejects Christ's sufficiency. Believers are encouraged to cling to Christ and trust in God's grace even when facing accusations from religious traditionalists.

  • James 4.1 - Draw Near to God
The sermon examines James chapter four to reveal that interpersonal conflicts originate from unchecked internal desires and a divided heart. It challenges listeners to stop blaming others and instead examine their own motives, recognizing when personal preferences become idols. The message emphasizes the necessity of sincere prayer aligned with God's will rather than selfish demands. Central to the teaching is the concept of grace, which offers forgiveness and strength even when human effort fails. Finally, it calls for active repentance through humility, submission to God, and drawing near to Him to find true peace and exaltation.

  • Holy Prohibitions for Holy Sexuality
A tension exists in society between the celebration of sex and offenses related to it. God's character, not culture, must shape sexuality. Believers are called to live distinct lives of purity as an act of love and obedience to the Lord, the Holy Redeemer. The message also highlights how Jesus bore the punishment for the sins of Leviticus 18 on the cross, offering love and forgiveness to all who repent.

  • What do you know about God?
What do you know about God? And how has it affected your life? It is one thing to know that Jesus saves, but have you trusted Jesus as your Saviour? It's on thing to know Jesus forgives, but have you forgiven others? How much of what you know about God has affected your life in such a way, that others would say that you are a Godly person, or a person who loves Jesus and keeps His commandments? Jonah knew a whole lot about God, but his heart was NOT aligned with God. Jonah 4:1-4 (KJV) But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry. 2 And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil. 3 Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live. 4 Then said the LORD, Doest thou well to be angry?
