Markus' piece on his Camino de Santiago experience
Markus Watson is a pastor, father, husband, podcaster, author, and friend. He faced a dark night of his soul at the hands of people who set out to destroy him and his reputation. Here is how Markus describes that event:
"My time at that church was a wonderful experience for most of my time there. Unfortunately, my last year was very painful. Betrayal, false accusations, and eventually being voted out of that church left me reeling. My professional, emotional, and spiritual life was turned upside down.
And, yet, that experience drew me closer to God than I had ever been in my life. It left me with some scars, but those scars have helped me become more fully the person I was created to be."
Markus is a faithful steward of this time in his life and has continued to heal from the betrayal and the fallout from slander and, ultimately, his losing his job. Markus shares with us his recent experience walking 100 miles of the Camino de Santiago and found he still needed to deal with the pain and bitterness from this event a few years ago.
Join us for a Watson conversation with this unbelievable servant of God, his story and journey to forgiveness is extraordinary.
