Self-Care For The Soul

Forgiving Someone Who Shows No Remorse

Listen Later

We can’t escape it. It’s a part of the journey. But we do not need to allow ourselves to be held hostage by the pain of old wounds.

Someone in your life who has betrayed your trust, who has taken advantage of your innocence. Or someone whose ways are so different from yours, they seem oblivious to your needs. They may seem insensitive, cruel, even evil.

Even if they know they’ve hurt you, they have shown no remorse, taken no responsibility. Maybe they’ve even blamed you. Or maybe they do not realize the extent of the pain they’ve caused you.

You need to be done with this old lingering pain. Not just shove it down and ignore it, but really clear it from your psyche for good. But, how can you forgive someone who shows no remorse?

This is the question for today: “How can I forgive someone who shows no remorse?” This is the next question from The Answer Is Love: Questions to Explore as we Transition into an Era of Peace
