In this episode, Jesus exposes the hypocrisy and lack of mercy of the scribes, and challenges us to understand the difference between contribution and sacrifice. The text points us to the perfect portrait of mercy and sacrificial giving -Christ on the cross.

Jesus has answered a series of three questions for spies sent by the religious rulers, and left them in awe and amazed at His answers to their theological and ideological queries. They had hoped to confuse Him and provoke answers that would make the Jewish crowds that have latched onto Jesus hate Him, or even better, make the Romans want to kill Him.

They have failed miserably in their efforts. Now Jesus has a question for them-a question that challenges us all, even today- Who is Jesus? A man….Or is He who He says He is?

In today’s message, Jesus is confronted with questions by various religious leaders, hoping to catch Him either in some blasphemy so wicked that the people will reject Him, or in some statement so provocative it will push the Roman leaders to kill Him. Jesus is asked four questions-a question about His authority, a question about ownership, a question about eternity, and a question about His family tree. Listen, as Jesus baffles the religious elite with His extraordinary answers to the first three inquiries, and fills us all with a bright hope for the life to come in the resurrection.

Jesus tell The Parable of the Tenants, and in doing so, challenges listeners to a point of decision.

The text is convicting and filled with hope for those can admit their need for a Saviour.

Jesus rides into Jerusalem ona donkey’s back as a King; He weeps over the lost of Jerusalem as a prophet; and He offers an unbreakable, untarnished sacrifice as our Great High Priest.

In this episode, we look at Jesus’ “Parable of the Ten Minas”. Jesus is headed toward Jerusalem to be recognized as King through His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead, and He challenges the listeners to examine their own allegiances. Even if one finds themselves as a foe or a false follower of Jesus, though, there is hope for the living - “God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

Today’s text contains one of the most encouraging texts of Scripture “For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost.” Jesus had a plan before time began to save people who are less than perfect-sinners like me, sinners like you. Listen and be encouraged!
