It's easy to worship God when things are going great, when He has provided food, and family, and friends, and health, and home, and happiness. But the real authentic worship comes, the deepest form of worship comes when we can praise God in spite of our pain, that we can thank Him in the midst of our trial, trust in Him when we're tempted, surrender to Him when we're suffering, and to love Him, even when He feels distant.
Week 3 in our Psalm 23 series.
You've been wandering around aimlessly, searching, and asking the wrong people for directions. How do you find the right path? You've tried it on your own, now it's time to let Jesus be your guide.
Are you fatigued and frazzled and just overwhelmed? So many people today are exhausted, burdened, and hurried by an overcrowded schedule. It is time to make some changes! Changes in our crazy busy schedules, in our family priorities, and in our spiritual lives. If we keep up at the frantic pace we're living right now, sooner or later it's going to take a toll on our health, our families, and ultimately on our souls. Pastor Todd Lester shares from Psalm 23 about the importance of rest and making time for spiritual renewal at church.
As we look into our hearts, what do we find? Do you find anger? Do you find unforgiveness? Do you find hurt? Do you find pain? Do you find a negative heart or a critical spirit? When you look into your heart, when you examine your heart, what do you find? It's my prayer today that whatever's going on in your heart, you would know this, that God loves you and he forgives you and you can make your heart right with God.
"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people." Ephesians 6:18

In the second week of our series, "Putting on the Armor," we turn to the first piece of the armor: the belt of truth. We are to stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around our waists. The belt was an important, foundational piece of armor for the soldier just as speaking the truth is foundational for us as Christians.

Why should we put on the armor of God? The enemy is real and he is prowling around like a lion, looking for someone to devour. The armor of God is our preparation and protection given to us by God for each day. This is the first sermon in our series, "Putting on the Armor."
