It's a new season and what was appropriate in the previous season doesn't fit now, not because it is or was wrong, but because it's not the right season. God is doing a new thing and that means we need new wineskins.

God used the ever present crisis of the desert to teach the Israelites to depend on Him daily, and God wants to use this ever present crisis of the pandemic to teach us to depend on Him daily.

David tells us in Psalm 1 that a person who delights in God's law will be like a tree planted by a river. This means that when we delight in God's law, we won't be dependent upon our circumstances. We'll have roots in the source of life in good times and bad.

Our world and culture is designed to grab our attention. The people running the businesses and organizations of the world are putting a lot of thought and hard work into getting our attention, our support, and our money.

We are all ready to be on the other side of the pandemic, but there may be a lesson for us in the middle of this storm. In this sermon we look at how Jesus and the disciples handled the interruption of a storm as they may their way across to the other side of the sea.
