Former NJ volunteer fire chief admits to possessing huge collection of child sexual abuse material
A former volunteer fire chief in West Deptford has admitted to possessing a huge collection of child sexual abuse material.
Investigators in Gloucester County say 70-year-old Martin Matson downloaded more than 100,000 files over the course of three decades.
Authorities say Matson admitted to storing those files on laptops in his basement and removable media.
During a search of his home in April, investigators also found binders full of child sexual abuse material, as well as numerous pairs of young girls' underwear.
He faces up to seven years in jail. Sentencing is scheduled for October.
