The MLB announced Phillies fave Kyle Schwarber is the 2026 nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award.

The award goes to Major League players who demonstrate extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy, and positive contributions on and off the field.

Fans can vote online for Schwarber at MLBTogether.com/ClementeAward.

The Phillies will recognize him for the nomination when the team returns home to Citizens Bank Park on Sept. 22.

A federal judge in Washington, D.C., has issued a new order freezing President Donald Trump's attempt to limit voting by mail for the midterm elections.

The judge who issued Sunday night's decision was nominated by Trump and had previously declined to halt the president's executive order, saying at the time it was premature.

The Supreme Court is already considering the Trump administration's appeal to another order from a federal judge prohibiting the Postal Service from enforcing its new rule before midterms.

Election officials say they would not be able to implement Trump's new requirements before November, and mail-in ballots have already been sent out in multiple states.

President Donald Trump says he plans to remove a 10% tariff on Irish whiskey.

He spent the weekend visiting Ireland, where he attended the trophy ceremony for golf's Irish Open. Irish whiskey currently faces the standard tariff imposed by the president on most imports from the European Union, which was reduced from 15% to 10% in July.

As for the trade war with Canada, Trump told reporters that Canada is the "most difficult" country to deal with.
