- Rowan University cancels classes due to heat outageRowan University announced today that all in-person classes on the Glassboro Campus are canceled for Thursday and Friday due to a heating and hot water outage.The university said the outage was caused by the central plant being offline and not producing any steam.Online classes are unaffected, and faculty may hold classes virtually.Residential students who can are encouraged to return home, though dorms remain open.Scheduled campus activities, such as athletic events, theatrical or music performances and other events, may continue to operate at the discretion of each organization.Rowan administrators say repairs are underway, and updates will follow as normal operations are restored.
