Governor Josh Shapiro and PennDOT leaders say a road-repair project on a key highway in the Lehigh Valley shows that the nearly a billion dollars set aside for rapid repairs was needed and is going to good use.

That intensifying early season nor'easter has computer models working overtime at AccuWeather and elsewhere, if the offshore storm tracks closer to the coast than previous screens showed. Former South Jersey Transportation Authority Commissioner Bryan Bush has pleaded guilty to a fourth degree obstruction charge.

This is from his role ... to not pay a vendor ... as part of a political retaliation scheme.

A detective described in court on Wednesday how officers found blood on a man's clothes when he was arrested and charged with the stabbing death of an Upper Darby High School student.

Lab tests later confirmed the blood belonged to Michael Garr. The 15-year-old was walking home in Drexel Hill, Delaware County, one night in April 2023 when he was stabbed nearly a dozen times.

The suspect, Marson Weh, is now on trial. Jurors heard testimony on Wednesday from a detective who read a passage from a notebook investigators found in the 26-year-old's backpack. It said, in part, "The first time I ever killed, I stuck a knife in a throat."

Prosecutors also presented video evidence they say shows Weh following the teen for several blocks.

Delaware County District Attorney Tanner Rouse, who is prosecuting the case, has called the teen's death "random" and "senseless."

A Germantown woman whose house partially collapsed on Wednesday said she was worried about the structure for two years but couldn’t get help.

The side of the home on East Coulter Street came down around 3 p.m.

The homeowner was pulled out by her daughter just 20 minutes before it happened.

“I started putting her things in bags and told her we had to go,” she told NBC10.

When her mother and neighbors first raised concerns about the property, she said her family hired contractors, who took their money without fixing the problem. Then, they contacted city agencies for help.

She said L&I was there on Sept. 14 and issued her mother a violation. She asked them if her mother should leave since the structure isn’t safe, they said they couldn’t tell her what to do.

The woman has lived in the home for 36 years. It will likely be demolished by the city.

The mayor’s office, Councilmember Cindy Bass’ office, and the Philly Housing Development Corporation told NBC10 they’re looking into the situation.
