Bensalem police said when they responded to a burglary in progress at the Starbucks along Lincoln Highway near the Turnpike interchange at 3:19 a.m. on Wednesday, they found the drive-thru window smashed and cash registers tampered with.

New Jersey Lt. Gov. Dale Caldwell is reportedly under investigation for alleged inappropriate behavior with women.

The New Jersey Globe reports that Caldwell has been under investigation for at least a week, and he served as acting governor last week while Sherrill was out of state.

The Globe reports former New Jersey Attorney General Christopher Porrino is leading the investigation and has interviewed complainants and potential witnesses.

So far, the governor’s office has not publicly confirmed the report or responded to our request for comment.
