The modern-day vaccines made using chemical, biosynthetic and rDNA techniques are generally less immunogenic than older style vaccines made in response to proteins, carbohydrates, complex lipids and nucleic acids isolated from natural sources. Thus, vaccines sometimes need a molecule in conjugation to augment its immune response. One can improve the quality of vaccine production by co-administering these with an Adjuvant or immunomodulators with modified Delivery System, such as Nanoparticle, Liposome and immune stimulating complexes (ISCOMs).
