In Episode 9 of the ForMyDawgs Podcast, we sit down with Kifra for an honest conversation about mental health, what we tend to keep to ourselves, and what it really means to admit you’re not okay.
We talk about recognising when something is wrong, dealing with pressure, how people around us can influence the way we handle our emotions, and why having these conversations matters — especially as young people.
No pretending. No perfect answers. Just real perspectives, real experiences, and real spill.
🎙️ Episode 9 — Mental Health: The Conversations We Don’t Have
Welcome to ForMyDawgs — figuring life out together.

When was the last time you told your boy you were genuinely not okay?
Rell sits with Star and Mags on loneliness in men — the kind that shows up in a full room, a busy group chat, and a quiet chest. Not boredom. Not “I’m good bro.” The real one.
We talk:
If you’ve been performing fine, tap in.
Discord’s open. Private once you’re in.

Sam and I sat down, and we stopped pretending Malawi doesn’t have a class problem.
This is For My Dawgs. Rell and Sam chop it up about stereotypes, slurs, and classism in the warm heart — what people actually mean when they say “rich kid,” why the grind is lonely, and why starting late is already losing.
We get into:
No TED Talk. No clean ending. Just the conversation before the highlight reel.
Part 1.
If this is you — stay. Discord’s in the link tree.
For the mandem, by the mandem.

Mental Health — Part 2
The conversation continues.
In Part 2, Vin & Rell go deeper into mental health, the things we don't always say out loud, and the pressure to keep showing up even when you're not okay.
No perfect answers. No pretending to have everything figured out.
Just two dawgs having a real conversation.
Welcome to ForMyDawgs — we're figuring life out together. 🖤

In Ep. 6 Pt. 1, Vin & Rell drop the tough-guy act and get real about mental health: the stuff we bottle up, the "I'm good bro" lies, and why so many of us would rather burn than ask for help.
No therapist voice. No textbook talk. Just the dawgs keeping it 100 about what's really going on upstairs.
If you've ever said "I'm fine" and didn't mean it, this one's for you. Pt. 2 coming soon.
Press play, then send it to the homie who needs it. 🐕🦺
If you're going through it, talk to someone you trust please. You don't have to carry it alone.🖤
Did you choose your faith — or did the house you were born into choose it?
Episode 5 of For My Dawgs. Darrell sits with Vin, Magz, Atuweni (Star), and Alvin Tumbikani. Inherited belief? Whether religion makes you a good person? Colonisation and Christianity in Africa? Why dreads still get treated like a sin?
No sermons. Four perspectives. You decide.

Three years later… we’re back.
For My Dawgs started in 2023 with a mic, a room, and a few mandem who just wanted to talk about life, opinions, experiences and everything in between.
Now in 2026, we’re older, we’ve lived a little more, learned a lot, made mistakes, and somehow ended up back in the same room doing what we started.
In this episode back, we talk about growing up, relationships & friendships, mental health, work professionalism, the mistakes we’ve made and where we’re headed next.
This is only the beginning.
Welcome back to For My Dawgs. 🐶🎙️
2026… we’re back.
In the sequel of red flags, we discuss similar topics and questions from the first episode but however have a different pov from how things can be perceived and avoided.
In this episode, we discuss the issues red flags attract, and whether you as an individual should blow off certain signs of toxic behaviour and remain in that relationship. Stay tuned for pt.2 of this episode.🖤🎙
