As we saw in the first half of this sermon from our exposition of Nehemiah, the zeal of the Jews in Judah had subsided after the initial fervor of the revival. Those who had rededicated themselves to the worship and support of the Temple had slipped back in to sin and error. When Nehemiah returned from a short trip back to the palace in Persia, he found personal and public falsity in the Temple service. But being the leader he was, Nehemiah addressed the problems in a godly manner, and restored them to the right approach to God. Join us today for the conclusion of this sermon about how the people forsook their promises, and how Nehemiah got them back on track.
