Advent #4: Joy is a choice, it is the determined choice to praise God, honor God, and thank God in all things. That's a whole lot different than just feeling good. Joy is a choice. God wants a joy-filled life for you.

Advent #3: Jesus lived a scandalous life. Scandalous because he elevated and gave value to people that society was content just to throw away. He gave women a voice. He treated children with dignity. He expressed racial equality. If Jesus had a people, it was the down and out, the abused and forgotten, and the marginalized.
