We chat with Rachel Ivey who is the co-creator of the Northern Trailblazers Basketball program and has signed on as a tutor for a brand new program to help young BIPOC athletes prepare for life after sport.

We caught up with Dave Stearman with Controlled Chaos to learn about what it takes to run a dog sled and how you can take part. Dave explains a day in the life of the dogs and breaks down all the hard work it is to train for some of the enormous races. Controlled Chaos will be at WinterPLAY Snye event opening Feb. 25.

Today we were joined by Tracy Shulko and Rosie Keating with the Centre of Hope to discuss what it is they do to support the homeless in our community and future events. On March 5 they will be having their Fire on Ice event where they will be raising awareness for people by spending 24 hours outdoors without shelter. Participants will be guided by a survivalist.

We were lucky to have Delanee Daviau on the show to discuss the upcoming International Women’s Day and what it really means to women in the working world. Daviau explains how far we’ve come and just how far we still need to go in our society.
