Fort Wayne FC played this past Friday to a 1-1 draw with USL2 newcomers, Lexington SC II. It was a hard-fought, back and forth match that required a second half equalizer from Aboubacar Traore for Fort Wayne to steal the point on the road.

Fort Wayne FC took the show on the road this week for a stretch of 2 games. This Saturday they squared off against the Dayton Dutch Lions and and snatched a 2-0 victory. Next week they travel to Lexington to play Lexington SC II and look to continue their winning ways.

But Fort Wayne FC wasn't the only team in action this weekend. 1927 SC played a thriller with Grand Rapids SC and stole the victory in the 94th minute. Our own Dustin Diller was there and joins us tonight with his match report.

And Fort Wayne had 42 teams competing in Indianapolis this weekend as part of the Indiana Cup Tournaments.

Fort Wayne FC kicked off on Sunday night with a pre-season friendly against Sueño FC out of Joliet, IL. The team has only trained together for a few days and had a great opportunity to get their game legs under them in front of the home crowd before the season really kicks off next weekend.

The 2025 season will be the final season Fort Wayne FC competes in USL League 2 and it could be the most exciting one yet. They enter the season with their sites set on claiming their third straight title as Valley Division champions, and with the talent they have assembled, they have all the potential to do so.

My name is Brian Biedenbach. I'm a podcaster, I'm a video content creator with Summit City Studios and I've been part of Cincinnati Soccer Talk for the last three seasons. And it's time to finally bring the soccer talk to the city where I live. And that's why we've assembled a fantastic team of soccer minded individuals.
