In Jesus, “the weapons of our warfare …are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses” (2 Corinthians 10:4, NASB). In other translations, “fortresses” is rendered “strongholds.” Paul uses this potent word to communicate the nature of spiritual “fortresses” that can exist in our own minds. This week, Pastor Evan Brown teaches us that while fortresses are constructed to keep us safe and to defend against penetration, God equips and calls us to tear down those strongholds so we, and others, can become more who He intends us to be.
