In the third part of the current series on the power of remembering what God has
done for us that results in His blessings, gifts, and benefits, Pastor Evan Brown
discusses the topic of forgiveness. He speaks of several aspects of forgiveness that
go beyond the forgiveness that leads us to our salvation: confessing our
transgressions and seeking, asking for, and receiving forgiveness. He focuses on
two of King David’s psalms of repentance. Psalms 32 and Psalm 51 address
David’s acknowledging his sin; seeking and asking for God’s mercy; enjoying the
blessings of being cleansed, restored, and brought back to God; and passing on to
others what he has learned regarding the consequences of hiding from God and
the blessings of opening his heart and mind to the Lord.
