Forty six and 2 (The Friday at 5 edition)

Prerecorded as they are now holidaying in Invercargill, Matt and Maria beam in with Aerosmith, Cinderella, T-Rex, Helmet, Elidi, Rezn, Beethoven Mosh, Korn, Faith No More, and Villagers of Ioannina City’s mighty Age of Aquarius as the long song.

Matt and Maria wander from Killers (a French Metal Band), Scorpions, Volbeat, Anthrax and Mötley Crüe into the vast waters of Sleep Token’s Take Me Back to Eden as the long song, before Ministry, PJ Harvey, Smashing Pumpkins and Claemus bring it home.

Matt and Maria fire up a suitably metallic transmission with Alien Weaponry, Judas Priest, 2wo, Architects, TesseracT, Tool, Iron Maiden, and Flotsam and Jetsam’s Doomsday for the Deceiver as the long song. Expect metal gods, machines, low ceilings, seismic rumblings, and the Evil Robot Overlord checking whether doomsday is compatible with Friday at 5.

Matt and Maria drift through Clutch, Polyphia, Dinosaur Jr, Pixies, Danzig, Judas Priest, Down, and The Who’s mighty Won’t Get Fooled Again as the long song.

Matt and Maria take a wonderfully strange turn through Anthony Vincent’s Slipknot-style Jolene (in honour of Dolly), Puscifer, Queensrÿche, Fear Factory, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Slayer, and Intronaut’s Killing Birds With Stones as the long song. It's all unplugged shadows, industrial bite and sacrificial riffs.

Matt and Maria raid the shelves with The Barbarians of California, Evil Island, Zeal & Ardor, Live, Jane’s Addiction, Blind Melon, Deftones, Pull Down The Sun, Mötley Crüe, and Tool’s Invincible as the long song. Expect earthquakes, digital baths, live wires and missing records.

Matt and Maria tune into strange frequencies with AvonRose, Green Lung, Nine Inch Noize, Gaupa, Mr Bungle, Yuuge, Mastodon, and Kyuss’ mighty Spaceship Landing as the long song. Expect black magick, blind sides, burning asses and snakes for dinner.

Matt and Maria charge through Muse, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, a double hit of Propagandhi, Amyl and the Sniffers, Puscifer live, ELO, and Metallica’s mighty Master of Puppets as the long song. Expect heresy, hot rods, security issues, philosophical meat, and the Robot Overlord being quietly happy with Maria's attendance.

Maria was a little under the weather, so Matt and the Evil Robot Overlord held the fort with Sleep Token, Faith No More, System of a Down, Primus, Megadeth, Pull Down the Sun, Puscifer, A Perfect Circle, PJ Harvey, and Joe Walsh’s Life’s Been Good as the long song. Expect magics, mountains and (solo) missions!

We hit Friday with Warlock, Accept, Helloween, Killing Joke, Van Halen, Claemus, Ozzy Osbourne, Clutch, and George Thorogood’s One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer as the long song. Expect warnings, eruptions, asteroids, outlaws, and Maria to wander in at some point!
