It's easy to point our finger and blame many of our problems on what others are doing. There are a lot of cultural pressures that make it easy to blame others for the problems we face. In the passage today, we explore another approach to handling the topic and problem of sin.

We all have targets in life. Things we want to accomplish and pursue. There are also three things we have all been given: time, energy, and resources - our arrows in life. In this new series we will explore what targets we are aiming for and what we are firing our arrows at.

In the last message of our ‘Prove It’ series we will explore one of the most important ways we can see our faith in action and a powerful proof for faith in following Jesus.

Who are you following? John Gives us a warning in chapters 2 and 4 of false teachers that are leading others from truth. They claimed the proof was found somewhere other than in Jesus but we see that through Scripture the proof is found in Christ. He is all we need. You can tell a lot about a person by who they follow.

How often do we overlook the value of being in process and focus instead on how we are failing to be perfect? This week as we explore 1 John 3, we will be challenged again by what evidence there is in the process of following Jesus.

As we continue in our summer study of 1 John, we focus on 3 tough verses that will challenge us to examine some uncomfortable areas of our daily lives.

As we unpack chapter two of 1 John, we will see John's second 'Prove It' statement and hear an old challenge to move beyond our claims of belief and into the evidence we can see in daily life.
