  • Ep. 35 | Run Your Race

    Scripture References:

Genesis 50:20 "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."

Hebrews 12:1-3 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."

  • Ep. 34 | The Spiritual Issue of Discouragement & How to Break Free

Discouragement is a real spiritual issue. One that Nick and I wrestle with almost on a weekly basis.

Discouragement often comes sneaking in through the door of "waiting" making us weary in doing good.We grow tired... Tired of trying. Tired of hoping.

In this episode, we want to equip and encourage the Saints to break free from discouragement.

"If the devil can't destroy you, he will often try to discourage you." - Craig Groeschel

    Scripture References:

Isaiah 40:28-31 "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Psalm 139:11-12 "If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you."

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

  • Ep. 32 | "My Will or God's?" - Living a Surrendered Life

Scripture References:Proverbs 19:21 "Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it's the Lord's purpose that prevails."

1 Thessalonians 5:18 "Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will..."

John 14:15 "If you love me, keep my commands."

Luke 14:33 "In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples."

Matthew 16:24-25 "Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it."

    Reflection Questions:

    1. Does your life look more like Jesus today than it did 90 days ago?

    2. What area of your life is not surrendered to God?

    3. Have you been asking God permission or trying to lead instead?
