Kendi, author of the bestselling work, “How to Be an Antiracist.” In addition to being a bestselling author, Kendi is the Andrew W. Mellon Professor in the Humanities at Boston University, the founding director of the BU Center for Antiracist Research, a contributing writer at The Atlantic, and a CBS News correspondent.

Kendi is the author of “Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America,” which won the National Book Award for Nonfiction, and “The Black Campus Movement,” which won the W.E.B. Du Bois Book Prize. Aletha is a mother of two living children and 22-year veteran teacher in JCPS, teaching at Iroquois High School. He earned a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in 2009.
