Dr. Avery Kolers, professor of Philosophy and director of the Social Change program at UofL, joins us for a wide-ranging interview with Patty. Avery's research and teaching areas are quite broad and interesting--ranging from ethics to environmental justice, to political philosophy, to sex and values, to territorial rights and beyond. We explore how Avery engages his students in thinking about, and thinking through, such complex and deep topics and discuss what sparked his intellectual interests and how he keeps his work thriving.
We discuss critical thinking in many different aspects during this hour-long conversation about a variety of topics. All of it comes back to our ability to think about our own thinking.
