In it, they touch on the show's intent, the nuts and bolts of registering to vote and voting, plus who is eligible to vote and who is not, and important government resources.

An interview with Yvonne Sotomayor, a poet from New York City, who performed at the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville on August 31, 2019. Ms. Sotomayor recites her poetry in both English and Spanish to the accompaniment of her husband Kenn, on guitar.

On this week’s edition of Sustainability Now!, your host, Justin Mog, lights up all the microphones in the studio for a chat with members of Extinction Rebellion Kentucky about plans for the September 20th Global Climate Strike around the world and here in Louisville. Returning to the studio are Alice Melendez, organizer with Extinction Rebellion Kentucky, long-time advocate Jackie Green, and new to the show this week is Alex Shull, a local businessman and concerned parent. We discuss the global context and timing of the upcoming week of action, as well as the coalition building locally with groups like the Sunrise Movement, who will kick off a full day of solidarity actions at 10am in Jefferson Square Park at 5th & Jefferson on Friday, September 20th. All concerned citizens are encouraged to leave their jobs, schools, and business-as-usual to join us in the streets!
