Thomas Williams, attorney, and Libby Mills, Executive Director, Restorative Justice Louisville, spoke on March 18, 2019 at the Louisville League of Women Voters on the topic of Restorative Justice. This process, only recently instituted in Louisville's Juvenile Justice program, brings together, under supervision of a trained facilitator, all willing stakeholders (those impacted by a crime) and the perpetrator to meet to negotiate their own resolution, rather than go through the juvenile court system. The goal here is to repair the harm to the victim caused by the criminal behavior.
