  • Election Connection | Project 2025 | Empowering Cities | 7-2-24
Victoria Strange joins host, Ruth Newman, to take a peak into elaborate plans for a 2025 Trump White House. Entitled "Project 2025" and produced by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, with contributions from former Trump appointees, this is a Presidential Transition blueprint that reconfigures the Executive Branch of government to place it under direct presidential control. What this means for our democracy is discussed and lamented. Later on in the program a talk, originally broadcast in January of 2024, by Election Connection host Ruth Newman, gives an encouraging perspective on where global cities are headed as they increasingly join forces to battle anti-democratic authoritarianism and to implement measures for greening their cityscapes.
