Welcome to the Finale. This is the final three chapters of The Guardian of Ailos. Our weary travelers take on their final challenge. Bind the dragon, or earth will face certain destruction.

Hoping to catch the dragon sleeping, Rose wanders into the throne room, alone—the fate of the children and their world, resting solely on her shoulders.

The plan to open the dragon's door seems trivial. Nelson is tasked with two impossible feats, healing his friend with a strange incantation, and then keeping her from going after the dragon. It's going to take a miracle to get him through this one.

Mina faces a familiar foe. Without her locket, she has to reach deep within to find a glimmer of hope. Her life would depend on it.

Nelson wakes to his friend muttering strange words.An army of torches approaches the mountain, and they still have no sign of Mina. Its time Nelson takes things into his own hands.

Mina leaves the children behind, in search of weapons, but the Midnight Forest holds more than just memories. Without the locket, she will be limited to the power that lives inside her. Will it be enough? Can she make it back? Or, will this trip end up like the last one, leaving Syd alone, yet again?

Standing at the entrance to the dragon's realm, our heroes prepare for their final confrontation. A looming mountain of fire awaits them in a world of endless ash and darkness, while Mina leaves them to collect supplies, and Nelson wrestles with his place in all of this.

Reunited after a long, dark night, Nelson, Syd and Mina search for a cure to help poor Harold. What they find is much more powerful. Hope burns bright, and Nelson begins to believe in their chances for stopping the dragon.
