Wait, not one, but two Found Footage movies , which are both now on Shudder.... and we get to hear our favorite podcast host discuss them? Uh, yes please and thank you! Yes, hear me talk about both these movies, movie news, what Ive watched recently, my mental health and past addictions, my current relationship issues and my cat Morty. Wow, thats a show.
We usually pick a specific found footage movie and break it down, but in this episode, I took a bunch of found footage movies along with the best of all horror from 2023 and broke them all down. What is my favorite of 2023? Are some of them really horror? Does that really matter? Have I figured out how to use my recording equipment? The answer to all these questions and more awaits you by just pressing play. At the very least maybe I can help you find a new movie to watch that you otherwise not be aware of.
It's October and it's time for a Found Footage Classic and a "Is it a Found Footage film?" classic. It's not really, but who cares, cause it's my podcast. Two films that get us pumped up for the scary movie season and some discussion involving films I've recently watched and am looking forward to watching. What could be better? That's as riveting as it gets people, so tell your friends and spread the word as Found Footage w/Donnie Darko is back!
This is a podcast that is gonna change the way you listen to podcasts about horror movies on Tubi as described by a guy whos usual focus is a specific found footage horror movies. There are some things we all have in common and one of those things is Tubi. We all have it, but do we all use it? Probaly not. This way I save you the trouble of searching Tubi's lists of films and we cut right to the good stuff. You're welcome. check me out on letterboxd @ donniedarko11
Is the Visit a good movie? Is it a good found footage movie? Does it take place at the same time as the Happening with Markie Mark Wahlberg? All these questions and more will be answered in this explosive 60 minute M Night Syamalan spectacular. If your a fan of found fooatge, M Night, or movie at all- you'll love this episode. Enjoy!
Do you think VHS belongs on the Mt Rushmore of found footage films? I do. This one holds up for me and I tell you all about it and why it won me over since the first time I watched it. You get to listen to me break it down and see what stuck out to me from this seminal found footage horror anthology. For the last 20 minutes or so I tell you about all the things I liked in horror that came out in 2022. I did forget (of all things...) to mention the found footage from 2022 such as Deadstream, VHS99, Incantation, Andy Bake Tapes, and We're all going to the Worlds Fair. Oppps. Anyway, you'll hear my top 10 of 2022 and my honorable mentions because I'm a nerd and we make lists.
In this exciting episode of Found Footage Horror Movies with Donnie Darko I review and spoil the 2008 movie Lake Mungo. In the first half of the episode I talk about my recent horror watches, ideas for upcoming episodes, the weather, and my short voyage to Monster Mania Con and so so much more. In the second half i break down the movie Lake Mungo with full spoilers and all the good , bad, and ugly of this found footage gem from the land down under. Sit back and enjoy!
In this long awaited second episode i bring you the found footage movie I had promised in my first episode, Grave Encounters from 2011. This is a personal found footage favorite of mine and a popular streaming horror movie available on most streaming services. In the first half of the episode I discuss my favorites of the year that was 2021, including favorite horror podcasts, favorite horror tv shows, and of course my favorite horror movies of the year. Everybody loves best of lists, and everybody loves found footage so here you get them both. Just sit back and enjoy!
