Prayer is how we turn our hearts toward God.

Genesis 5:21-24-Enoch

Enoch is described as someone who "walked with God." His life wasn't simply about knowing about God; he lived in continual relationship with Him.

This is a powerful picture of prayer: prayer is part of walking with God. We talk with Him, listen to Him, seek His direction, and stay close to Him throughout our everyday lives.

Together, they show us that prayer isnot just a religious activity-it is relationship. Prayer kees us connected to God. Faith keeps us trusting God. And walking with God changes how we live.

The goal of prayer isn't just to get something from God. It's to get closer to God.

What does the heart of Jesus look like? It's a heart of humility, compassion, love and a desire to reach the lost.

Philippians 2:1-8 Jesus humbled Himself and served others

Luke 19:1-10 Jesus sought out Zacchaeus and came to save the lost.

Matthew 9:35-36 Jesus saw crowds with compassion because they were hurting and in need of a Shepard.

Matthew 4:19 Jesus calls us to follow Him and help lead others to Him.

The heart of Jesus doesn't just see people-it sees their need, loves them, serves them, and reaches for them.

If we're not giving grace, then we have forgotten the grace we were once given by Jesus.

The bible tells us to handle conflict directly and the goal isn't punishment or embarrassment... its restoration and reconciliation. God is present when believers seek Him together. You forgive for ones self but reconcile for others.

Forgiveness should be generous and ongoing-not limited to a certain number of times.

The Big Picture...

Address the hurt. Seek reconciliation. Get help when necessary. Don't gossip or keep tally of offenses.

In Genesis God created the world and called it good.

Ever since, there has been a force that has worked against us to pull us away from Him.

The war within starts surrender.
