Pastor Michael concludes the 'Burn the Ships' series by encouraging us to not shrink back as is outlined in Hebrews 10. Jesus' work on the Cross deals with the sin in our hearts. His work on the Cross produces boldness in our lives. And Jesus' work on the Cross calls us to fight for one another.

"....Today if you hear His voice do not harden your hearts..." (Heb. 3:7-8). Pastor Michael encourages us to fear God and not be complacent about His Promise. To pursue obedience by striving to enter His rest. And to let us hold fast to His confession- our confession of Christ is rooted in His Word.

Pastor Michael encourages us to look to Jesus as we continue our series in the book of Hebrews. In the midst of trial and temptation to look back, we are encouraged to Look Ahead: Jesus Starts, to Look Up: Jesus Sustains, and to Look Around: Jesus Perfects.

Pastor Michael encourages us out of of Hebrews 12 to run the race that is set before us. The Lord gives us an appeal to run with endurance, a command to listen with obedience, and an invitation to receive with reverence. So where are you on your course?

Pastor Michael continues the Burn the Ships series in Hebrews 12. He charges us on how to replace the weight of sin and the weight of shame with the weight of GODs glory! There is an eternal weight of glory that awaits us, so we do not lose heart!

Pastor Michael charged the congregation to contend for the faith that was once delivered to all the saints. He shared with us the charge, the warning, and the promise. He will keep us in fierce times and He is able to perfect us and help us to snatch others from the fire. "This faith has been handed down, won't you pick it up?"

Israel's journey back to the land of their forefathers has always foreshadowed a deeper journey, one that calls all of us to a restored relationship with God. "Come let us return to the Lord..." Hosea 6:1-3

Christians often see themselves as having 'replaced' the Jewish people in the purpose of God. Paul in the book of Romans, however, teaches the opposite.

Abraham's decision in Genesis 12 to say yes to the call of God is the turning point of redemption history. But it reflects a loving God that was willing to chose His own death, so that we might choose life. In Abraham's story we see the DNA of the gospel - declared two thousand years before the life of Christ. And in Abraham's call we too are challenged to say yes to the God that came looking for us.

God's law was given to Israel to teach the world that we, at heart, are all lawbreakers and we desperately need a savior. And even today the Mosaic covenant still outlines God's character and points us to the Cross.
