Roundtable #1: The Crew unpacks the Theo Fleury interview, Michael Calls Out the NCAA response to Fair Pay To Play Act, Alex shares his Sports Story and much more...
We got the chance to speak in-depth with retired Canadian NHL player, Theo Fleury. Fleury is a decorated athlete with an abundance of accomplishments, including a gold medal with Team Canada in 2002, and a Stanley Cup in 1987.
On one hand, our guest was exciting to watch in the league -- recording four 90+ point seasons and two 100+ point seasons. On the other, he was battling something much bigger than those games. He was battling drug and alcohol addictions which forced him out of the league. He now provides survivors of traumatic life events with the treatment and support needed to reclaim their lives.
Join us as Fleury details his journey through stories of him surrendering to his addictions, the importance of helping others and helping yourself, and the stigma around mental health to where he is today.
