Apart from being our Good Shepherd, Jesus is also our Loving Sheperd. Jesus loved us so much that He was prepared to lay down his life for his sheep.

When Jesus revealed Himself to the Jews with these words they wanted to stone Him for blaspheming. This week we look at this aspect of Jesus' ministry on earth.

Jesus not only promises us salvation, but also fullness of life, if we believe that he is the Messiah sent from God.

In the gospel of John, Jesus describes Himself as the gate through Whom we can reach eternal life. Those who do not enter through Him, are described as thieves and robbers.

By declaring that He was there when Abraham lived on earth, Jesus tells us that He is God. We look at this question further.

In the gospel of John, Jesus tells the Jews that he was there when Abroham was bord. How can this be?

We look again at the statement of Jesus that He is the Light of the world, and his invitation to follow Him. We can be sure that He is a reliable guide. Those who follow Jesus will never walk in darkness.

Jesus said: "I am the Light of the world". In saying this, Jesus makes the claim to be God. And one of the Psalms says: "The Lord is my Light and my Salvation." Will you let Jesus light up your world with His eternity?

When Jesus calls Himself the Bread of Life, he is referring to the quote from the Old Testament: "man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord". Whoever eats of this bread will have eternal life.

After Jesus miraculously feeds a crowd of 500, he gets into a conversation with them about the "Bread of Life". We all need more than just physical sustenance.
