Morgan White Jr. filled in on NightSide:
Originally called Tremontaine for the three hills in the area, Boston became its official name in honor of the many Puritans who came from a town with the same name in Lincolnshire, England. Once established, Boston was shaped by many events including the Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party, the Battles of Lexington and Concord, Paul Revere’s ride, the Battle of Bunker Hill, the Great Molasses Flood, the Cocoanut Grove Fire, and most recently the Boston Marathon Bombing. Joining Morgan to outline more of Boston’s historic past was Operations Manager for Boston Top Deck Trolley Tours and WBZ Radio Traffic Reporter, Jack Harte.
