On today’s episode of Founded we’re finding out what led to Royal Governor Francis Bernard finally leaving Boston and what happened when he left. The sons of liberty are at it again and John Adams had to get involved, publicly, to dispel a rumor about his dedication to the cause. And even though they all knew Francis Bernard was leaving, they didn’t relent in their shenanigans and tomfoolery. There was drama, celebrations, and an incredible amount of pettiness in Boston, 1769. They even held a massive party to celebrate the anniversary of the Stamp Act Riots when the little black cloud tore Andrew Oliver’s house down.
