What should a functional medicine practitioner actually talk about on a podcast, especially when every practice is already publishing about gut health, hormones, thyroid health, inflammation, and root causes?
Read the full article + examples HERE.
In this first If I Were Your Publishing Partner episode, I break down how I’d position a functional medicine podcast around something much harder for competitors to copy: the practitioner’s judgment. We look at why transformation testimonials and generic wellness content aren’t enough, how to make years of experience visible, how to talk about complex health topics without turning the podcast into personalized medical advice, and how one strong episode can become part of a wider publishing system.

Why isn't your podcast getting listeners even when the content is good? And what actually makes someone click on a business podcast episode?

In this episode of Founder Publishing, I break down the four parts of podcast packaging: the idea, title, visual, and opening promise and why you should be thinking about them before you ever hit record.
We get into how to find the private worry behind an episode topic, why vague guest-led titles hide good expertise, what thumbnails actually need to accomplish, and why your podcast shouldn't necessarily use identical packaging on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube.
You'll also hear how better packaging can turn your back catalogue from an archive of old episodes into a library people actually want to browse.

Do you need a video podcast in 2026? Can an audio-only business podcast still grow? And is publishing your podcast on YouTube actually worth it?
Read the full article + examples HERE.
In episode 6 of Founder Publishing, I cover when I'd keep a founder podcast audio-only, when adding video makes sense, and why uploading the same podcast to YouTube isn't necessarily a YouTube strategy.
We also get into one of the bigger questions behind the decision: what can you realistically keep publishing for the next year?

How long should a business podcast episode actually be?
If you're automatically recording 45-, 60-, or 90-minute episodes because that's what a “serious podcast” is supposed to look like, it may be worth questioning the format.

If someone is considering paying you $10,000, $20,000, or considerably more, how much can they really learn about the way you think from a 45-second Reel?
In this episode, I’m looking at podcasting vs. social media through the lens of buyer trust. Social media can make you visible and familiar, but when you sell expensive expertise, your buyer often needs more than that.

I talk about why I’d make long-form content the center of the publishing system for many founder-led businesses, how a podcast lets potential clients spend meaningful time with your thinking before they ever contact you, and why I don’t think every founder needs to become a full-time social media creator.

I can usually tell within the first couple episodes whether a founder's show is going to make it to episode 20, and it's whether there's a system behind the show or whether the whole thing is running purely on personal enthusiasm, which is a terrible long-term fuel source.

This episode picks up right where last one left off. If you already started a podcast, or you're about to, this is about the four specific, predictable ways that decision falls apart around episode six to ten: being the entire production pipeline yourself, guest dependency killing your schedule, no feedback loop making it feel like shouting into a void, and perfectionism quietly turning a Thursday release into something that never goes out at all. I walk through the small, concrete fix for each one, plus why the founders who make it past episode ten were rarely more disciplined than the ones who quit, they just had less riding on their own willpower.
If you're in that stretch right now feeling the pull to quietly let it slide, this one's for you before you decide the whole thing isn't working.

Should every founder start a podcast? After 4 of years producing shows across coaching, B2B, solo formats and interviews, watching some run for years and some die in month three, I don't think the answer's yes for everyone, and figuring out who it's actually right for matters more than the trend does.

Every week, founders record brilliant conversations that never make it any further.
Ideas shared on client calls. Strategy sessions. Podcast interviews. Team meetings.
Most of them disappear.
Founder Publishing is a podcast about building a publishing system around your expertise. We'll explore how founders, consultants, agencies, SaaS companies, medical practices, architects, interior designers and other expertise-driven businesses can use podcasts, newsletters, blogs, SEO and AI to build authority that compounds over time.
You'll hear practical strategies for creating a founder podcast, building thought leadership, repurposing long-form content, improving podcast SEO, growing a newsletter, using AI to streamline publishing, and turning one conversation into an entire content ecosystem.
If you're building a business around expertise and want your best ideas to keep working long after the conversation ends, you're in the right place.
From the publisher's feed
Founder Publishing is a podcast for established founders who already have a podcast and want it to do more for their business.
You're investing time and money into producing episodes. But is…
Maybe you're publishing consistently, but you're not sure what the business is getting from it. Your episodes attract industry peers rather than prospective clients. You have dozens of episodes sitting in your archive, yet very little of that content is being discovered, reused, or brought into sales conversations.
And despite having an editor or producer, you're still responsible for planning topics, coordinating guests, and figuring out what happens after each episode goes live.
Founder Publishing explores how to make your existing business podcast worth the investment.
Hosted by Tiana Ned, podcast producer and publishing strategist, the show is for founders running high-value service businesses, including architecture and interior design studios, custom home builders, luxury event businesses, photography studios, creative agencies, consulting firms, SaaS companies, private clinics, and wealth advisory firms.
These are businesses where clients need to understand your judgment, process, and expertise before making a significant investment.
Each week, we explore how to attract the right listeners, choose topics that matter to prospective clients, improve podcast discoverability, and turn existing episodes into articles, newsletters, and other content that continues working long after publication.
You'll also hear real podcast case studies, industry-specific publishing plans, and practical breakdowns of what I'd change if I were managing a company's existing show.
We cover the business decisions behind podcasting, too: what founders should delegate, when an editor is enough, and when bringing in a publishing partner makes sense.
This isn't a podcast about microphones, editing tutorials, download hacks, or building a creator business around courses, sponsorships, and audience monetization. It's for people who sell expensive, bespoke, considered, mostly 1:1 services or products and want to use thought leadership and podcast content to build client trust before the first conversation.
If your company already has a podcast, Founder Publishing will help you understand what's working, what's missing, and what better publishing could look like.
New episodes twice a week.
