This week on the Straight Truth Podcast, Dr. Josh Philpot has some questions for Dr. Richard Caldwell about his position as the Pastor of Founders Baptist Church. Dr. Caldwell's title is that of Pastor-Teacher. Dr. Philpot tells us he is interested in that title combination. As a pastor, Dr. Caldwell is both a preacher and a teacher. So first, he asks Dr. Caldwell to articulate the difference between preaching and teaching. Next, Dr. Philpot asks Dr. Caldwell to explain where pastors fit into this role. But, also where others from the congregation in terms of their gifting fit into it. Lastly, as Dr. Caldwell answers these questions, Dr. Philpot has a few other questions relating to these roles and positions within the Church.

This week on the Straight Truth Podcast, host Dr. Josh Philpot asks Dr. Richard Caldwell about jealousy. He shares that we find this word used throughout the Bible. In the Scripture's use of the word jealous, we find different aspects and understandings. We know from the Old Testament that God describes himself as a jealous God. In other places in the Scriptures, when in people, jealousy appears nearly always as sinful. Can jealousy ever be a good thing for people to have- Can a husband or wife have good and right jealousy for their spouse- How should a husband or wife navigate the inward thoughts and feelings of jealousy associated with one's spouse- Is there a right way to address these issues and concerns-

What are gospel tracts- Aren't they a sort of hit-and-run form of evangelism- Can they really be an effective means of communicating the gospel-

Should Christians attend or participate in a wedding of unbelievers- Can we maintain a clear conscience when we take part and celebrate with them, even if it is one of our children- Can we rejoice and be happy for the wedding couple in some respect-- -This week on the Straight Truth Podcast, Dr. Josh Philpot and Dr. Richard Caldwell return to the subject of marriage. Their discussion pertains to attending, participating, and celebrating the wedding and marriage of unbelievers.
