Sometimes you come across certain passages in the Bible and you wonder, why is this in here? On a first pass, the passage this week can seem obscure, misfitting. But, on a closer look, what we see is that it actually has something very important to teach us about faith - the nature of faith, and what kind of faith God wants from us. Through the sad story of one man, we'll learn that the faith God wants - sincere, saving faith - is a faith that sees God as our prize, not as a means to our prize.
