How many times in your life have you encountered a situation, need, or crisis and you’ve thought “This is impossible!”? At one time or another we all will have things in our lives that seem impossible. This week, we'll dig into the reality of God's power: that nothing in our lives is impossible for Him to handle. God wants us to know that, believe that, find hope in that: to trust that God can do the impossible in your life, even if you have to wait for it.

What does it mean to know God?  And how is that different from knowing about God?  Sometimes it can feel hard to know the difference.  But God wants us to!  This week, from this awesome story with Philip and an Ethiopian Eunuch, we'll see that God wants us to know him, not just know about him.

Sometimes you come across certain passages in the Bible and you wonder, why is this in here? On a first pass, the passage this week can seem obscure, misfitting. But, on a closer look, what we see is that it actually has something very important to teach us about faith - the nature of faith, and what kind of faith God wants from us. Through the sad story of one man, we'll learn that the faith God wants - sincere, saving faith - is a faith that sees God as our prize, not as a means to our prize.

As we live and experience our lives with God, we make interpretations of what's going on, only realize later that something else was the case. When times are hard, it's easy to think God's promises have failed, that we've been duped. But, as we'll see this week, there is always another side to things. In fact, we'll see that difficult times never defeat God's promise to bless, instead they serve it.

It's not uncommon to wonder why God chose the followers of Jesus, the Christian church, to be his spokespeople to the world. But Jesus made it clear that that's exactly who his followers are: his spokespeople. Another way to say it is that his people are his witnesses. This week, learning from one of the most powerful Christian witnesses ever, we'll see that being a witness to Jesus is as much about a way as it is about certain words: that we witness to Christ by following the way of Christ.

Why do you have hope in life? Ask a few people that question and you'll likely get a diverse set of answers. When you peel those answers back and look deeply into them, the truth is that all of them will fall short. All except one.  There is one reason why we can and should have hope in life - outrageous hope in life. And it has everything to do with Easter and the fresh start we find in it: we can and should have great hope because in Jesus there is a new beginning.

Guest Speaker Adam Jones. Ask anyone who has tried and they'll tell you, living the Christian life can be a challenge.  In fact, if left to ourselves, it wouldn't be possible.  So, to ensure we can live the new life Jesus brings us into, God gives us what we need to do it: himself.

We all have priorities; things we give a higher importance than others.  Why is that?  Usually because of our values or goals or convictions.  This week, we'll see that God has priorities as well.  And that he wants his priorities to shape ours.  One phrase will lay this out for us: the Word of God.  This is God's priority.  That God's Word would flourish in us and through us.

Do you ever struggle with making choices?  Making the right choice?  Most of us do.  Why is that?  Because we all want to make the right choice, but it seems there's no way to guarantee we will.  There's one choice, however, where we can be absolutely certain we're making not only the right choice, but the best choice.  And it's all about one word: obedience.
