First on the agenda was the FFA Cup final with Adelaide United’s professional 1-0 win over Perth Glory. The boys talked about how the competition captured the imagination of a nation and gushed over the inspirational performances of some Australia’s giant killing amateur clubs who took on the big boys.

The trials and tribulations of West Sydney Wanderers at the FIFA Club World Cup was also a hot topic. The team and the players, having been involved in a pay dispute before the first game, had also found themselves complaining about the playing surface and refereeing in the gutsy performance against Mexican champions Cruz Azul. The boys from West Sydney had every right to complain about the circumstances they were dealt but at what point do their complaints start to sound like whinging and sour grapes? The boys discuss it.

Finally Carlos pays tribute to Australian football’s latest Hall of Fame inductee – the great Mark Viduka. The boys turn back time and talk about his early years to the high point of his career playing for Celtic and Leeds United in the United Kingdom. This week the Diegos do it for the great Johnny Warren ....they address the Hot Topic for the night...Which A-League team would most benefit if Timmy Cahill were to join them? If he was to come home which club would be the best fit for Timmy? For their marketplace? For the A-League?

Warren spent time attacking Melbourne Victory coach Kevin Muscat for his statement that playing football on North Sydney oval set the game back 20 years. Whilst Warren vented his spleen on Musky, and as expected the rest of the Diegos and the listeners returned the favour to Warren. It made for some interesting debate.

The pay dispute between the players of West Sydney Wanderers and the club’s owners was also on the agenda. Warren spoke as a shop steward and asked the questions - Who is at fault? Are the players too greedy? Why aren't the owners showing some goodwill towards players who performed magnificently in Asian Champions League competition.

Although legally within its rights is the club and its owners behaving fairly towards a group of players that have doubled and tripled the clubs value since ownership changed hands from the FFA earlier this year.
