Well....that happened. In our ongoing quest to expand our horizons and broaden our minds about this great sport of professional wrestling, we decided to do another viewer submitted show. XPW was one of the extreme promotions that rushed to fill the void that ECW left when it went belly up. Unfortunately this show emphasized everything that we as fans dislike. This show feels like it was written and booked by a 14 year old and none of the matches that we saw had anything that you could really consider "wrestling". This show also sees the return of Scott from his baby watching duties! We also tackle terrible hardcore matches, the notion of "selling out" (again!), and Shane Douglas.

Payback is a bitch! Or something along those lines. After a pretty mediorcre 2013, Payback shocked everyone by being the best show we have seen since TLC 2012. A thoroughly unintriguing build up couldn't stop the fact that every performer brought their A-game and it was refreshing to see. This episode Chris, Garrett, and Ronald tackle the best Divas match they'd seen in a long time, the double turn of Del Rio and Ziggler, and the rise to prominence of Ryback. As a bonus we also discuss the highlights from Raw the following night.

Last year, we declared Extreme Rules to be the surprise PPV of the year. This year? Not so much. The culmination of the worst build up I have ever seen in my life, makes this show disappointing to say the least. Garrett, Bienemy and Chris squared their shoulders and tackled the joyous return of the punt, the awfulness of Sheamus' character, and how Jack Sqagger and Alberto Del Rio cracked kayfabe clean in half forever. For our bonus topic, we discussed the potential of Curtis Axel and what it means to be a "Paul Heyman Guy".

With the huge gap between Wrestlemania and Extreme Rules, we here at Horsemen Review Headquarters wondered what we would do to pass the time. In this season of extreme, we decided to go back one more time into the ECW vault.  One Night Stand was a reunion show that came the absolute closest WWE ever came to recapturing the magic of ECW. By placing it in a smaller, more intimate venue, they really created a magical night that provided closure to those hardest of hardcore. This "Aces and Eights" edition talked about how great heel Bischoff was, the sadness of Eddie Guerrero, and sheer unsanitariness of hardcore wrestling.

ECW! ECW! ECW! On this momentous evening, we were able to introduce Garrett to the wonder that is a full ECW show. After months of subpar efforts by companies with huge budgets, it was a relief to go back to a company where talent and wrestling were the first priorities. This show saw the crew deal with the awesomenss of Tajiri, the subtleness of Raven and the overall surprise that ECW can engender upon even the most jaded fan. Twice in a lifetime! This was the headline of a shockingly mediocre Wrestlemania. Months of half ass build up and boring Raws lead up to a huge show which just could not live up to the hype. Everyone is on deck as we debate Jack Swagger's gimmick, explain the phenomena of "Pancake" Patterson, and gush over the madness that is FAAAAN DAHHHHHHN GOOOOO. Finally! WCW March has trudged to the finish line and boy was it rough. After a fairly good 3 months of shows, the crew was crushed by the awfulness of WCW March. This show was infamous for the maybe real/maybe fake heat between Hulk Hogan and Vince Russo. This absolutely filthy show was headlined by the sheer terribleness of Kronik, the unlikely rise of Booker T to main event, and the dumbness of slathering the protective mats in wedding cake in the first hour of the match.

The Road to Wrestlmania is paved with the corpses of dead WCW shows or so we worked out at any rate. As WCW March continues to batter at our sanity, we turn our attention to one of the more significant events of 1998. While Starrcade has always been WCW's version of Wrestlemania, in 1998 it sure as hell didn't look like it. This week, the full cast is available as we marvel at the strong cruiserweight division, scratch our heads at the nonsense that is Norman Smiley, and bemoan the main event. Also Garrett has several loud rants planned so be aware.

WCW Marches onward! (Get it!) We tackle World War III, A three ring, 60 man battle royale was the main event of this monstrosity. It's a damn mess of things. We reassess Paul Bearer, gush over Eddie and Rey, and lose our minds over Henning and Flair in a No DQ match.

WCW March is here!!! In a show very near and dear to Chris' heart, we tackle Halloween Havoc 1993. This show took place in the UNO Lakefront Arena in New Orleans and Chris was very lucky to have attended as a child. Sadly, he was unable to see the main event due to some pretty poor seat buying. Now he makes Garrett and Scott suffer through it with him. We see a fantastic match between Steven Regal and Davey Boy Smith, the weird ending of Ric Flair vs. Rick Rude, and the nonsenical rules of the Texas Death Match.
