Arsenal, VAR, Marcos Alonso - just a few things that have irked the Lads in the past week. Arsenal stumble to an in-form Manchester United team, was this just a bad, bad day at the office, or is it panic stations for the Gunners? We still have questions about Man U even with four wins in a row, but questions will never go away when Cristiano Ronaldo continues to be on the bench at Old Trafford. We also talk through some of the biggest refereeing decisions this weekend, where VAR reviews and mistakes seemed to happen every game.

With the transfer window officially shut, each of us pick out our window winners - and even better - our picks for the weirdest and worst transfers this Summer. We look back at some of the deadline day signings, reexamine our premier leagure relegation picks (now that the transfer window is shut), and of course we're back with Guess The Player to close out the show. There may have been a wash, the first one in the pod's history, but the Lad at fault will do better next week or die trying.

After a weekend full of poor performances we start off looking at some of the worst ones. There's madness in the French league, a comeback for the ages in Germany, and a woeful miss from Spain... just to name a few. England wasn't spared either, we want to know who's getting sacked first - Gerrard or Lampard? Surely their teams can't keep performing like this without some changes at the top. West Ham are suprisingly bad, Leeds are surprisingly good, and we have no idea what Chelsea are. One team that didn't underperform was Manchester United, who finally gave Dro a happy weekend, but how much of this was Liverpool just being really bad?

We take a look at some of the games coming up with an especially spicy game happening in Turin this weekend. We stay in Italy for Guess The Player but find that Italy may be a tough league for some of the Lads. Hope you enjoy, and as always, this is Four Lads Football.

The Four Lads dissect what was quite the eventful weekend in the football world. Barcelona blanked against Rayo, but the most surprising results came from England. Manchester United is a hot topic again after their dismantling by Brentford, we try to keep it short for Dro's sake, but there's so much wrong at the club. Tottenham scraped a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge, but was it deserved? Subs are subbed on, Tyler loses money on Liverpool, and St. Etienne might just get relegated... again.

Our first Bundesliga edition of Guess The Player is a hit but some leads are too much for even the Germans to overcome. We want to hear from our listeners so get in touch, ask a question, or make fun of one of our takes, we don't mind.

Premier League is back! If you missed any of the games in England over the weekend this is the episode for you. We talk over the juciest games from matchweek 1, everything from Tottenham shining to Liverpool tying. Niko brings his case for Eric Dier winning the Golden Boot - the others are skeptical. Robbie predicts a decisive 3-1 Chelsea victory over Spurs in gameweek 2 - the others are still skeptical. Dro sees Man United falling apart further - we all agree on that one.

Ahead of the Premier League starting this week we dive into our thoughts on how the season may play out. Can anyone beat Pep? Could Conte have what it takes even if he's managing Spurs? Will Bournemouth go back down without a fight? We don't know these answers for sure, but we all agree Manchester United is nailed on for 6th place. There's a surprising name in the relegation conversation, an Arsenal fan admits Tottenham could have a good season, and it's decided that no one will drop points while the World Cup is taking place... Since there will be no games... But you knew that already, right?
