Family… this chapter is one of the most vulnerable pieces of my entire book. Today, I’m opening up about a struggle many of us face but rarely say out loud: not loving ourselves.
For most of my life, I wrestled with body insecurity. I didn’t realize I had made my body image an idol; something I obsessed over, feared, analyzed, and grieved. After months of fasting and battling covid, I found myself staring at the mirror multiple times a day, picking apart my appearance, and silently tearing myself down.
But that’s where God met me.He sat me down one Saturday and walked me through scripture — word by word — until I finally began to see myself the way He sees me.
In this episode, we walk through Chapter 5 of Walk In Your Calling and talk about:
* What it means to truly love yourself according to Scripture
* How our culture harms our self-image
* How God heals insecurity through truth
* Practical steps to renewing your mind
* My personal testimony of how God restored my identity
I pray this episode encourages you to pause, breathe, and remind yourself of this truth:God does not make mistakes. You were intentionally, beautifully, purposefully made and He wants to heal how you see yourself.
If you’d like to read along, we’re journeying through Walk In Your Calling chapter by chapter this season. You can find the link to the book below.
You are loved. You are seen. You are God’s masterpiece.
Let Him show you who you really are.
