Long before God's people were conquered by King Nebuchadnezzar and taken captive to Babylon, and more than 150 years before Cyrus the Great of the Medo-Persian empire in turn conquered Babylon and returned the Jews to the Promised Land, Isaiah prophesied of those very events.

While God's people may be unfaithful to Him, God does not forget them nor His promises to them. God will fully and finally demonstrate His faithfulness in the future redemption of Israel.
