Finally, there's the Bible's encouragement of not being ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, that it is the power of God unto salvation, and that we are ambassadors for Christ. In spite of all this, some people believe this is only for pastors and missionaries or those in vocational Christian service. The result is that the "Great Commission" has become the "Great Omission." Others may feel convicted to share more, but don't know how to start a conversation, or are concerned they may get something wrong or may not be able to provide an answer for a question that's asked. Some may feel embarrassed, believing that you should never discuss religion or politics because these topics are a private matter and should be kept to ourselves. If you've struggled in areas like these, keep in mind, there are no exceptions. In other words, it doesn't matter if you're a child or adult. As born-again believers, all of us have the same instructions from Christ to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. You have a story to tell others. Enjoy this Crosstalk!

From the very beginning, the authority of God's Word has been under attack. God gave clear instruction in the Garden of Eden as recorded in Genesis 2:16 and following: "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, 'Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat; But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.'" In Genesis chapter 3, the serpent spoke to Eve, "Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" The serpent put this question in her mind to cause doubt and later countered what God said, "Ye shall not surely die." Tragically, Eve took of the fruit and ate it. She gave it to Adam, who also ate it, and thus sin entered into the world. We often look back and ask how could they do such a thing. Yet, in our secular world and in pulpits across the country, the same challenge is happening day after day, questioning the authority of the Scriptures. Returning to Crosstalk to answer this concern was Ken Ham. Ken is founder of Answers in Genesis and its life-changing attractions: the highly acclaimed Creation Museum and the world-renowned Ark Encounter. Ken is a biblical apologist and author of multiple books, including Divine Dilemma (understanding death, disease, and suffering); Divided Nation (about today's culture wars); Creation to Babel (a devotional commentary); The Lie: Unraveling the Myth: Evolution/Millions of Years and Miraculous: The Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis Story.

This sermon, rooted in 2 Timothy 2 and 3, delivers a urgent call to spiritual integrity, warning against the subtle danger of a 'saved soul with a wasted life'—a life marked by complacency, self-indulgence, and compromise with sin. Centered on the biblical command to 'depart from iniquity' and to 'purge oneself' from ungodly behaviors, the message identifies six pervasive sins in the last days: self-love, covetousness, pride, unthankfulness, unholy living, and incontinence, each portrayed as a spiritual threat that undermines divine purpose.
