What a long strange ride it's been...

In the season 1 finale, Scully and Mulder get set on the hunt for a person who has been infused with alien DNA. Monkeys were involved. Multiple east coast cities were disparaged. I'm pretty sure we went to Spencer's Gifts at some point in the episode, because this prop work is top notch. Everything comes up to a thrilling climax, and makes us ask: what did we actually learn from all this? Answers unclear, try again.

We are back with the first half of a two-parter!
