Reflecting on God's holiness should cause us confess our sin.

When the light shines in the darkness, there will be a response, either positively or negatively. Neutrality is not possible. Many reject the light, but others receive the light, believe in his name, and become children of God.

True understanding comes from looking to God in humility.

Whenever you hear of the fall of a leader, say to yourself, "He fell today; I may fall tomorrow." Paul warns believers, "Take heed lest you fall" (1 Cor. 10:12). Regular confession of sin, ideally, starts with evil desires, so they will progress on to deception, disobedience and death.

Psalm 2 speaks about the enthronement of King Jesus and his glorious rule over the nations. This psalm instructs us about hermeneutics, sovereignty, eschatology and politics.

John the Baptist came to bear witness about the light. He himself was not the light, but he bore witness to the light, that all might believe through his testimony.

It may seem surprising, but we experience communion with Christ through confession. First, because we honor Christ and his work of atonement. Second, by having our hearts are endeared to him for the forgiveness and righteousness he grants us.
